“We know that there was a karaoke evening on at the pub last Saturday evening and so a number of people were there. Please think back to if you were at the pub or in the area and anything you may have seen or heard which could assist our enquiries. We also understand some people may have been recording video footage during the evening. If you were, please check this and make contact with us as this could help our enquiries.
“A team of officers continues to carry out a full investigation in the area including speaking with witnesses, carrying out house-to-house enquiries and checking CCTV.
“If you think you have any information which could help us, no matter how insignificant it may seem, please do get in touch with us.”
A 60-year-old man, from Loughborough, has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm in connection with the investigation. He has since been released on bail. Enquiries are ongoing.
