Man airlifted to hospital after lorry collides with mobility scooter in Loughborough

Emergency services are attending the crash at the junction of Ashby Road and Regent Street. The road is closed 'until further notice.'

EAST MIDLANDS AMBULANCE SERVICE STATEMENT

We received a call at 9.56am today, Monday 10 May to Ashby Road, Loughborough. The caller reported a Road Traffic Collision. We sent two paramedics in two ambulance cars, a crewed ambulance and the air ambulance was also in attendance. We transported one patient to Queen’s Medical Centre via land ambulance.

POLICE STATMENT

Around 10am on Monday 10 May officers were called about a collision between a lorry and a mobility scooter on Regent Street, Loughborough.

The road has been closed while officers attend the scene.

East Midlands Ambulance Service also attended and a man has been taken to Queen’s Medical Centre with a serious injury.

Enquires are ongoing.
