A lorry lost its wheel and tire which cased the fires.
The road was closed for a time between J22 Markfield Interchange (Leicester A50, Coalville A511) and J21a Kirby Muxloe Interchange (Leicester, Newark A46). It is now reopen.
Thankfully nobody was injured.
Crews from Coalville and Southern fire stations were sent to put out the fire.
