Loughborough retains seventh place in the UK Complete University Guide

Loughborough remains the highest-ranked university in the Midlands.

Loughborough has ranked seventh place in the Complete University Guide 2025, out of 130 institutions.

The midlands university has now secured a top-ten spot in the national league table for the ninth year running.

The Complete University Guide 2025 league table is based on ten measures: Entry Standards, Student Satisfaction, Research Quality, Research Intensity, Graduate Prospects – outcomes, Graduate Prospects – on track, Student-Staff Ratio, Spending on Academic Services, Spending on Student Facilities, and Continuation.  

Professor Nick Jennings, the University’s President and Vice-Chancellor, said: “Loughborough has always been justifiably proud of the unique environment we have created for our staff and students, a place where they can truly thrive. Our continuing success in the Complete University Guide shows that we are getting things right and that we remain one of the very best universities in the UK.”
