Officers want dashcam footage of the vehicles beforehand.
A man has died following a collision on the A447 Hinckley Road, Cadeby, this afternoon (Thursday).
Police were called to the area at 12.36pm to a report of a collision involving a heavy goods vehicle with trailer and a black BMW car.
East Midlands Ambulance Service and Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service were also in attendance.
The driver of the car – a man in his 50s – was pronounced deceased at the scene.
No other injuries have been reported.
A 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving following the incident. On Friday 22nd November the man was further arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter.
Two other males – aged 20 and 17 – have also been arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter. All the males currently remain in police custody.
Detective Sergeant Jack Cornick, from the force’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “A man has sadly died following the collision and we are providing full support to his family at this time.
“Enquiries are being carried out to establish the full circumstances of the collision. We have been speaking to witnesses but urge anyone with any information, who has not yet made contact with us, to get in touch.
