Nuneaton Museum and Art Gallery has received national accreditation from the tourism body Visit England for the quality of customer experience.
Visit England works to shine a spotlight on by the highest-calibre organisations who deliver unforgettable experiences for visitors, raising the profile of England as a world-class destination and driving the economic benefits of tourism across the regions.
As a Quality Assured Visitor Attraction, the Museum can now offer prospective visitors the reassurance of an official endorsement of high standards. In making the award, VisitEngland commented on the “very high level of visitor experience” and made special mention of the the interactivity of the interpretation, the family friendly activities, the “fabulous new George Eliot exhibition” and the Community Showcase initiative.
The award assessor said:
”The Museum & Art Gallery is housed in a very smart building set in beautifully manicured gardens in the larger setting of Riversley Park. It is a lovely Museum with a fabulous approach to interactivity and family friendliness.”
Cllr Ian Lloyd, portfolio holder for Arts and Leisure said:
“This is an important accolade for any organisation as it recognises high standards in terms of both customer care and visitor experience.
“We asked Visit England to take a look at our Museum and Art Gallery as part of our drive for continual improvement and the assessor really put us through our paces. It’s good to know that our service has been tested against national criteria as part of a robust quality assurance scheme.”
The Museum will now display the VisitEngland Quality Rose Marque with pride.
