There will be a large slide, an overhead carousel, a three-way seesaw, and a climbing wall.
Youngsters in Nuneaton will soon have a new play area at Sherbourne Avenue Recreation Ground.
The new area will have equipment suitable for different age groups and abilities.
This includes a large slide, an overhead carousel, three-way seesaw, a wobble bridge, climbing wall and monkey bars.
Tarmacked pathways are also being installed from Sherbourne Avenue and Portland Drive cul-de-sac to the play area, making the park accessible during wet periods.
The work is expected to last for approximately 15 weeks, and the park will be closed during this time for health and safety reasons.
The project will cost £125,000 and is being funded after the Council was awarded £4,028,173 from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) for the period 2024/5.
Cllr Julian Gutteridge, Portfolio Holder for Health and Environment at Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, said: “Sherbourne Avenue Recreation Ground will soon have a superb play facility for our youngsters to enjoy for many years to come.
“Users of all ages and abilities can learn, imagine, and play together.
“The landscaped areas will also be much improved, and the accessibility for users will be boosted as well as the ecology of the area.’’
