Nuneaton residents 'devastated' as electrical equipment and jewellery stolen from their home

The police are appealing for information.

The offender broke into the house on Avenue Road and stole electrical equipment and jewellery.

Following CCTV work by Nuneaton Proactive CID a 32-year-old man from Nuneaton was arrested on suspicion of burglary.

Detective Sergeant Todd Lomax from Nuneaton Proactive CID said: “The house owners were devastated to find someone had come into their house and gone through their belongings. We’re pleased that our enquiries have progressed quickly and we’ve identified a suspect.

“Officers from Nuneaton Proactive CID will continue to lead the investigation and we’re appealing for anyone with information to contact us.”

Anyone with information that could help police with their enquiries should call 101 quoting incident 215 of 1 May 2022.

Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
