Hot on the heels of last year’s highly acclaimed Aladdin, the pantomime has something for all of the family, with laughs and songs galore and tickets are selling well.
This year’s pantomime runs from Saturday, November 30 until Saturday, December 28 with more than 20 shows taking place and thousands of patrons expected to watch the show.
And there will also be a relaxed performance on Saturday, December 7 at 2pm when sound and lighting levels are reduced, along with flashing lights and bangs and noises. Beauty and the Beast will be performed by The Civic Hall in Bedworth Pantomime Company, celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, with the script written by Ben Crocker.
Tim Norton, General Manager of The Civic Hall in Bedworth and Beauty and the Beast Director, said: “I believe we have a pantomime to be proud of and one which our patrons will enjoy, full of wonderful songs and dance routines.
“Tickets are really selling well for all of the shows and we advise people to buy them in plenty of time so not to be disappointed because several performances already look like they will be sell outs.’’
This year’s cast includes Lizzie Sheard as Rose and Beauty, Adam Braidley as The Prince and the Beast, Ethan Bradshaw as Felix, Lori McLare as Malabelle, Robbie Noonan as Jacques, Jas Nisic as Capucine and Anthony Williamson as The Dame.
The main cast is augmented by a six eight strong team of local dancers – Ellie Barnes, Amber Burdett, Cameron Hankinson, Megan Lowe, Paige Newbury and Bethany Snade.
Jennifer Evans of Judith Vardy Studios is the show’s choreographer and Ed Court returns to The Civic for a fifth year as Musical Director.
