Charnwood Borough Council took the decision on Friday to not hold a full market because of the weather forecast.
In a statement the council said:
"We have been monitoring the weather throughout the week for tomorrow’s market and unfortunately it has taken a turn for the worse, with gusts up to 44mph from Storm Hannah forecasted. We are therefore having to run a reduced market. Apologies for the inconvenience."
