There's been discussions between Centrebus and Leicestershire County Council
Last week Centrebus decided, after conversations with the Leicestershire County Council team, to halt their decision to remove the majority of the commercial week day services on the 154 that links Leicester to Loughborough.
A spokesperson from Leicestershire County Council said: “Following discussions with Centrebus, Leicestershire County Council has reached agreement to allow the service to continue to operate hourly (Monday to Saturday) with a revised timetable in operation from January 26, 2020. There will be a minor change, which will see some off-peak journeys not serving Station Road and Reservoir Road in Cropston in order to improve reliability on the service. This arrangement will ensure that the service continues to operate without interruption on January 26, 2020. The service will be reviewed as part of Leicestershire County Council’s Passenger Transport Policy and Strategy (PTPS). More information about the PTPS can be found on the ‘Choose How You Move’ website. Notices will be placed at stops along the route to advise passengers about the continuation of this service and details will also be posted on www.choosehowyoumove.co.uk.”
