A 17-year-old youth and a 20-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and Grievous Bodily Harm.
A Leicestershire Police officer was injured yesterday afternoon when a vehicle he was pursuing reversed into the police car.
At around 3.10 pm yesterday (Sunday 6 November) officers spotted a Land Rover with cloned number plates in the Loughborough area.
They followed the car and a controlled pursuit was authorised in Copt Oak.
The suspect vehicle, a silver Land Rover Freelander, stopped in Old House Lane and Leicestershire Police said it then deliberately reversed into the police car.
Two officers were in the police car and one was injured.
He was later discharged from the hospital after treatment. The second officer was not injured.
The two suspects drove off from the scene and were later arrested in the Copt Oak Road area of Markfield.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the Land Rover in the Loughborough or Copt Oak area.
They want people with footage on phones or via a dashcam to come forward.
