Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or saw the vehicle beforehand.
Officers are appealing for public help after two people were seriously injured during a collision in Loughborough yesterday evening (Tuesday 21 January).
The collision occurred around 7.50 pm and involved two vehicles, a black Mazda MX5 and a beige Skoda Fabia.
The cars were travelling along Ashby Road towards junction 23 of the M1.
The road was closed by officers for over five hours.
The driver and passenger in the Mazda, both men, were taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham. They remain in hospital and their condition has been described as serious.
Anyone driving along this road around the time of the incident is asked to get in touch with police if they recorded any footage on a dashcam.
