The George Eliot Hospital has an increased level of a sickness bug.

Visiting restrictions are in place at Nuneaton's George Eliot Hospital.

They're experiencing an increased level of diarrhoea and sickness amongst patients at three ward bays in the Melly Ward.

They're urging family and friends to avoid visiting the affected areas wherever possible.

If visitors have any questions then they are welcome to contact the wards directly via the hospital switchboard on 024 7635 1351 to check before a visit. People can also view the list of contact numbers for each department on our website.

The ward areas will be reviewed on a daily basis and any further updates will be made available on our website www.geh.nhs.uk.

All visitors are asked to help us to protect our patients and staff by not visiting the hospital if you are feeling unwell, especially if you have symptoms of diarrhoea and vomiting or flu. If you are or have been suffering from these symptoms please do not attend the hospital until you are 48 hours symptom-free unless you need urgent medical attention. If you are unwell and require advice, please contact your GP or NHS111.
