At 12 noon on Saturday 1st Dec at the Clock Tower in Leicester City Centre 107 known women who have died because of Domestic violence in the past year throughout the UK will be remembered
Women’s Aid are seeking women as volunteers to represent those who have died in the past year throughout the UK.
Organiser and Trustee Marea Roberts said
“We welcome women of all ages and backgrounds to stand in solidarity to represent those who have died. They will need to wear dark clothing and as the names are read to put on a provided white mask as a symbol of deaths caused by domestic violence. The event will take around an hour and to give people an idea of a similar event in 2016 visit www.wa-leicester.org.uk/ events to see the moving video of 2016”
