Police will be carrying out 'proactive patrols' this week.
Last week there were three incidents of large groups of young people gathering and fighting in greenspaces around the town.
On Thursday afternoon (10th June) residents reported a group fighting in the area of Hollycroft Park. Police moved the group on.
A second call was received later that same day reporting a group of teenagers fighting in the area of Factory Road.
Four people, aged between 12 and 15, were detained and their details taken.
Enquiries are ongoing but no arrests have been made.
Then on Sunday (13 June), officers were called at 8.11pm to Clarendon Park following another report of a large group of teenagers fighting.
Officers attended and spoke with a number of people in the area.
The group left the scene.
No arrests have been made in relation to the incidents.
Sergeant Alex Goldsmith said: “We are aware of a few reports over the past few days concerning young people fighting in the area. We continue to respond to these reports made and also have a number of proactive patrols in place across the area. We are also working with partners, including the local council, in relation to the reports.
“We want young people to enjoy our parks and the outdoor areas in Hinckley, especially after the past year, but this can only be done if people behave in a safe and respectful manner and in line with current Covid regulations.
“We will continue to monitor the situation and will take action if required. We ask that people continue to report any concerns to us.”
